Pascoe Vale

Pascoe Vale was our first clinical home. It’s where our journey as Pride podiatrists, physiotherapists and EP’s began.

We love our local community here and after 7+ years of working, living and being an active part of community we wanted to provide more than just our leading health care.

The following information comes from years of personal recommendations.

We’ve eaten at these cafes, worked out at the gyms, and swam in the pool. You’ll find us in ordering a pizza or helping each other out in the Facebook groups.

If you have any reccomendations to add, please get in touch.

We loving supporting our fellow locals.

Pascoe Vale Weather

PridePlus Health Pascoe Vale

Above you’ll find the 7 day forecast for the weather in Pascoe Vale.

Pascoe Vale Information

Pascoe Vale (or simply Pako) is a fast gentrifying suburb only 10Km north of Melbourne CBD, Victoria.

Developed extensively after the 2nd world war where the housing and streetscape was built, Pascoe Vale is home to over 15,000 residents and counting.

With ample park lands, sports fields and the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail for cycling, walking and running Pascoe Vale has long been known as a family friendly suburb.

In more recent times, development of the large post WW2 housing blocks has lead to an increased number of young families moving into townhouse style residences.

The Pascoe Vale postcode is 3044 which we share with our neighbouring suburb, Pascoe Vale South.

Pascoe Vale Cafes

The cafe scene in PV is evolving by the day, with quality barista’s calling PV home as well as innovative chef’s making tasty brunches and lunches.

Our top 3 Pascoe Vale cafes at the time of writing are:

Jack and Daisy

It’s easy to think you’re in Fitzroy or Brunswick with the trendy team at Jack and Daisy offering great coffee, friendly smiles and delicious meals.

We’ve used their catering for events too which has always been spot on.

Ben’s a fan of the Jack and Daisy burger if you want a filling meal whereas Tim leans more towards a flat white and a protein ball when popping by.

The Pantry Melbourne

The most recent addition to the PV cafe scene and the closest to our clinic by location, The Pantry Melbourne has won us all over.

Exquisite coffees and Han’s favourite local hot chocolates keep us coming back regularly.

The food is as interesting as it is delicious.

Fast options like the tasty cheese and spinach borek or slower options like the brocolini, bean and orange salad are both worth coming back for.

George Jones

The food is delicious and the team at George Jones take their coffee seriously.

It’s obviously a good sign when every school drop off and pick up there’s an army of PV Mum’s and Dad’s waiting on their kids and their lattes!

There’s almost too many options on the brekky and lunch menu which makes it a great place to meet those friends who are picky eaters.

Pascoe Vale Pizza

When riding my bike home through Pascoe Vale of an evening it’s almost impossible not to stop at any number of local Pizza restaurants.

These 3 are our favourites.

Ciccio Pizza

You’re pretty lucky when you work so close to a local pizza shop as good as Ciccio.

Woodfired pizza that’s more classic Italian than suburban Australian in style.

Pizza Boy

Tasty pizza and pasta. Check.

Proper garlic bread. Huge check.

Pizza Boy do great pizzas and even better garlic bread. A local Aussie style of pizza restaurant just perfect for those Friday nights when you’re bushed and need a take away fix.

Circa 900 Pizzeria Napoletana

Circa 900 Pizzeria is a wood fired pizza gem in Pascoe Vale on the Coburg side of our suburb.

The mushroom and cheese pizza (Tartufo) is a delight for vegetarians and is a must every time we swing by.

Pascoe Vale Gyms

Depending on what you look for in a gym PV has you covered.

If you’re looking for expert guidance and care with 1:1 or small groups then you can’t go past our gym. We call it the Strong Room.

Staffed by EP’s and physiotherapists we’re available 6 days per week to help you work on your health and fitness goals.

For those who like to be a little more independent with your gym work outs Jett’s Gym on Cumberland Road has clean modern equipment for you to use.

Pascoe Vale Shoe Shop

Our favourite shoe shop in Pascoe Vale is Molloy’s Shoes.

Molloy’s Shoes is a local institution, with generations of Pascoevaliens getting their first pair of school shoes at Molloy’s.

While Molloy’s trends towards comfortable, supportive and stylish options (think leather boots and shoes) they’ve only more recently started stocking running shoes.

For a full range of athletic and running shoes you’ll need to head out of the suburb (shock/horror) to a place like The Running Company in Clifton Hill or online.

Pascoe Vale Massage

While our favourite place to get a sports massage in Pascoe Vale is from one of our own caring physiotherapists, sometimes a sports massage isn’t what you’re after.

For those times when you’re looking for a local masseur only we hear nothing but great feedback from our mutual clients of Muscle Care Myotherapy and Wanvilai Therapeutic Thai Massage.

Pascoe Vale Swimming Pool

The swimming pool is an outdoor lap pool with a few great areas for kids to play as well.

Doggo alert! There are some special dog days where you can take you 4 legged best friend as well.

The pool does close early (7pm in summer is early for a lot of us keen on a swim) and when the weather is not conducive for outdoor swimming.

For those who like to swim year round or are looking for an indoor pool the recently completed Oak Park Aquatic Centre just next door to PV is a great local option too.

Pascoe Vale Facebook Groups

There are three great facebook groups for PV locals.

Each with their own unique vibe.

Pascoe Vale Residents is the largest group of nearly 6,000 people who engage, discuss and support each other in our community.

The Pascoe Vale Good Karma Network is 2,500 members strong!

It’s a place to offer support for each other in our community. Sometimes it’s recommending the best podiatrist or doctor in Pascoe Vale. Other times it’s offering an abundance of produce from local veggie gardens.

Finally the Pascoe Vale Buy/Swap/Sell group is the place (along with Gumtree and Marketplace) to move on your 2nd hand goods to a new home or find an up cycled bargain.
