It’s here. Derby Street is officially the most happening street in Pascoe Vale as there’s long lines out the front of Two’s Company and Bagels Baby every morning. But even bigger moves being made behind Two’s Company inside a brand new gym. Fitspace and PridePlus Health are joining forces to help those over 50 turn back the clock.

Do you want to be able to spring up the stairs again? Pick up your grandkids? Power walk the golf course and still have energy left to hit long bombs on the back nine? Your solution is to lift. Weight training, resistance training, powerlifting; whatever you want to call it is not just recommended, it’s vital for us when we’re over 50.

Already your fellow Pascoe Vale residents are feeling better getting stronger with their EP.

What’s involved

You’ll be introduced to powerlifting training as you master the squat, deadlift and bench press as well as a few other lifts.

You’ll be working out in a safe environment being supported and coached by health professionals. Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists. Lifting weights is not only safe for when we’re over 50 years old, it’s fun. Your physio & EP will ensure that if you are sore or have any niggling injuries or medical conditions that you’ll be able to continue to overcome and progress as you become a Master of Strength.

Get started

All masters start with a one on one physical tune up session with either physio Dominic or EP Aidan. In your tune up session you’ll be tested and have your training plan developed. Your medical history, activities and goals will all guide us as we collaborate on what an effective Masters of Strength program looks like for you.

The tune up session is one on one, and requires us to be a little more clinical in how we conduct them. This means that your session will be held inside our clinic on Kent Road Pascoe Vale where we are located inside PVH Medical. Once your initial testing and tune up is complete and you have your plan, your Masters of Strength classes will be held at Fitspace under the watchful eyes of physio Dom or EP Aidan. The tune up session is $65 and will take around 30 minutes to complete.

These classes are small, intimate and supportive. A maximum of 6 masters to 1 physio or EP. Once you have your training plan you can book online and choose your class times that suit you. The classes are $30 each and there’s no lock in contract. Simply book and pay as you go.
